Selfish, Unselfish or Selfless – Every being must engage in action. Action is the insignia of life. Action can be motivated by selfishness or unselfishness. Rarely, action can even be selfless. Each of these types of actions have different effects on one’s work and different effects on one’s personality. In this talk we will look deeply into all three of them. The understanding created will inspire us to move from selfishness to unselfishness and on to selflessness.
Joseph Emmett is a Student of Swami Parthasarthy since 1996 and is a graduate of the three year residential course at the Vedanta Academy. As director of Vedanta Institute in San Francisco, Joseph conducts free weekly classes for the community and in house programs for businesses and management seminars for leadership. Jospeh also guest lectures at universities and schools.

Causes of Success - Consistency, Concentration and Cooperation. Whether running a business, a family or attempting to raise one’s consciousness, these three practices are essential. The words are easy to understand, but practicing them is difficult. To really practice these three, a study of the inner human equipments is required. When the inner personality is clear, the knowledge of how to employ these great methods is obvious. We will go deeply into that study in this talk.
